ok whatever. so, for those of you who do NOT watch sci fi -- er -- syfy -- WHATEVER!!!
OK PEOPLE!! HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENED! as of TODAY, the Sci-fi channel, master of all things sci-fi, is now SYFY!! SYFY!! THEY CHANGED THEIR LOGO, OK? CHANGED IT!! now, you might be thinking, "D, it's just a logo. why are you spazzing?"
AND I SAY THIS!! "SCI-FI" is NOT JUST a LOGO! it's an ICON! an icon representing everything that i hold dear in this fangirlish world! not really, but it's really important to me! ever since i first got into sci-fi, i've associated that logo and with the wonders that it brought me! i remember staying up as a kid to watch those horrible movies on saturday nights, and being able to predict the cliched and cheezy ending every single time! but now it's DIFFERENT! ok? DIFFERENT!
it makes me sad....
i understand WHY they did it, they needed a logo that could be trademarked and what not, but that doesn't mean i have to like it! wah! in case you haven't noticed, i am TERRIBLE sentimental! i don't like change 94% of the time...
on a HAPPY note, i watched the series premiere of Warehouse 13 tonight! it's the new SYFY original series. tonight's was the first episode, and i gotta say, it looks really promising!
Pete's ADORABLE! he's one of the main characters! and i love him! i love Arnie too! he's AWESEOME! he's also an angst fest WAITING to happen. i mean seriously.
anyway, i kinda want to go to bed, so i'm just gonna stop ranting now.

so! this is what's been going on in my life: my sisters currently on total bed rest since her surgery, and cheer still eats my life! even in summer. oi.
anyway, because of the fact that 'rou can barely get out of BED, we planned out Squee Week! which is going to be an entire week filled with fangirlish movies and tv shows! yay!

anyway, it's late, and i was feeling braindead, so i decided to post this! and on a random note, i am seriously worried about getting permanent nerve damage in my legs from sitting crosslegged with my laptop, and wacom all sitting in my lap. just the other day, my feet went ENTIRELY numb! it was so cool! and i'm serious! everything below the ankles was NUMB! i was sitting there, DIGGING my pencil into my toe and i didn't feel a THING!

too bad it doesn't feel like...
seriously! i have NO idea why, but it STILL hasn't hit me that it's FINALLY SUMMER. usually, i'm like "omigosh! only six weeks left still summer!" now, it's more like, "what? it's the last day of school? oh." it's kinda weirding me out...
anyway, this means that i'll have more time to devote to FANART AND MARIO! yay fangirlishness! long breaks and backstreetboys really remind me of the wonderfulness that is mario. Plus, when i get on a mario high, it's like... self-sustaining or something... mostly because, Livi, when you think about it, that was the first fandom that we really clicked on! am i right?
also, that was the fandom that started the Residents. it really was. it was in an e-mail concerning Fawful and his adorable sadisticness that Durithyll, Roake, and Daiyori were first seen. so A) Mario is just a really fun fandom, and B) it's a really nostalgic fandom.
so when i get on a Mario high, i get a high off of being on the high. make sense? anyway, i'm rambling now, so i think i'll stop blogging now. :D

Daiyori: (sprawled out on the couch, as per usual, watching Jacob play Halo) so when is Roake getting back?
Jacob: how am i supposed to know? he needs to hurry up though.
Durithyll: no he does NOT!
(Durithyll's currently in the kitchen, trying to bake a cake -- from scratch)
Komasu: (trying to help out) Um, D, i think the cake needs to come out of the oven now...
Durithyll: what?! Komasu! i told you to get out of here! shoo! i wanna do this by myself!
Daiyori: well i want it to be EDIBLE!
Durithyll: it WILL be!! now shut up and let me do this!
Komasu: Durithyll... the cake's still in the oven...
Durithyll: Crap! see what you made me do!?
Daiyori: (sighs)
Roake: (opens the door, arms full of groceries) hey guys. i'm back--
Durithyll: NO!!! GET OUT OF HERE!!! (lunges over the counter and runs across the room, shoving Roake out the door) (slams the door as soon as Roake is out)
Roake: (very confused, and currently standing with his face two inches from the door) um... ok?
Daiyori: wow. and you're spazz.
Durithyll: shut up! i'm not ready!
Daiyori: and you won't BE ready for another twenty minutes. so what, you're going to make Roake stand out there for all that time?
Durithyll: um... no?
Daiyori: than let him in, dumb butt.
Durithyll: (pouts) fine. but you're still a jerk.
Daiyori: i try.
Roake: (still standing outside, very confused)
Durithyll: (slowly opens the door) ...you can come inside now.
Roake: ok... (steps cautiously around Durithyll) so what couldn't i see at first? (places the groceries on the counter)
Durithyll: (sighs) because it's Mom's day and all, i wanted to bake a cake or do something useful.
Jacob: she tried doing the laundry, but she swore the dryer was going to explode in her face!
Durithyll: it friggen was!! are you kidding me!?
Roake: (laughs) that's really nice and all, but last time i checked... i'm a guy.
Durithyll: well duh! oi! but you do all the mom-ish things around here! i'm mean, you JUST went out to get groceries! and you cook and clean, and do stuff like that.
Daiyori: that's because you refuse to do it.
Durithyll: shut up! the dryer is EVIL!
Daiyori: and the microwave?
Durithyll: DEMENTED!!! heh... dimentio... nevermind!
Jacob: (turns off the 360 -- GASP! -- and walks around the couch) Oh, and we got you this. (lightly tosses a black box to Roake)
Roake: (catches it) what is it?
Daiyori: like we're going to tell you?
Jacob: just open it! (lightly nudges Komasu with his elbow) it was Komasu's idea.
Komasu: shhh!
Roake: (smiles suspiciously)(opens it) oh my gosh... i cannot believe you guys... (reaches inside and pulls out a gold painted metal plaque in the shape of a police badge. Engraved on it is: Mr. M.O.M. -- Maturity Over Masculinity.)
Durithyll: (smiles) do ya liiiiiike it?
Roake: (sighs) of course i do.
Durithyll: than pin it on your shirt! (snatches it from Roake's hand and pins it on his shirt) there! beautiful! now you have to where it ALL day!
Roake: i figured. now... (points to Durithyll's icing-less cake) it take it that's the cake?
Durithyll: yes! it is! and you're not going to touch it until I'M done with it!
Roake: but you could--
Durithyll: NO! OUT!! (grabs Roake by the arm and pulls him away from the counter, runs to the other side and plants both arms firmly around each side of it) mine! so go away!!
Roake: (smiles) fine fine fine... can i at least finish the laundry that i assume no one else did?
Durithyll: no! you can't! Daiyori's getting it!
Daiyori: what! i am NOT!
Durithyll: yes you are! so git! (jabs her thumb towards the laundry room)
Daiyori: this is ridiculous...
Roake: (laughs softly as he watches Daiyori sulk away) (turns back to Durithyll) are you sure i can't at least--
Durithyll: NO!! just do something not helpful!!
Roake: (smiles as he puts his hands up in resignation) fine fine fine... i'll go sketch or something...
Durithyll: see? now was that so hard? and Roake? happy Mom's Day.
Roake: (smiles) Thanks.

Latte, i update my site when i have something to say. and as of late, i haven't had much to say. yes, i am very busy. you can ask liv, the equation for my life goes as such:

it's true. also, the main point of this site is to show case the residents and my art. i'm currently working on three major pieces, all of which won't be finished ANY time soon. so instead of pointlessly updating my site, i've been working on those so i have a REASON to update my site.
There's also been no reason to update anything else. I ran a maintenance check just the other day, and all the pages are running smoothly and there's no typos or dead links that i know of. if there are that i just seemed to have missed, please, by all means tell me!
while yes, i may pointlessly update my blog from time to time, it's not all that common. ;-)

WE GOT FIRST PLACE!! OUT OF ELEVEN TEAMS!!! AT THE LARGEST CHEERLEADING COMPETITION IN AMERICA!! IN DALLAS, TEXAS!!!
(takes a deep breath) ok... this weekend, me and my squad went to Dallas, Texas for the last competition of the season -- the NCA Nationals.
This is THE largest cheerleading competition in America! and out of the eleven JR Level 2 squads, Devil Ray Allstars placed FIRST!! my gosh... it was so much fun. While yes, winning is important (come on, we got a gorgeous trophy and everyone got a beautiful letterman) the most important part was that everyone did their best. We had NEVER hit every stunt, every tumbling pass, every move, as clean as we did in Dallas! that made me so happy.
And now the seasons over.
I probably cried about six times sine Sunday! Devil Rays means to much to me... and now the seasons over. Hopefully, i can make one of next years squad. but still, i won't be with THOSE girls one the SAME squad! and in don't think Natalie will be my coach either! and that's gonna make me really sad! i love Natalie so much! we could NEVER have won Dallas if not for her...
I am so happy that we were able to end this season with a bang. it just makes me so sad to see it end! man... i just feels so weird! i mean, Devil Rays has eaten up every aspect of my life! i joined near the end of the last school year, worked all through summer, and busted my but for over half of this school year! and now it's actually over... i don't know WHAT i'm gonna do at tumbling today! or TOMORROW! usually, tomorrow i would be going to practice from 5 - 8:00... but now i won't. at least, not with this squad...
man i'm gonna miss those girls!
they mean so much to me! and while a lot of them are going to be trying out for next years squad, a lot of them won't be. and that breaks me heart! and Natalie's not my coach anymore! at least not technically! and that REALLY get's me! i'm always so close to my coaches, but nothing like at Devil Rays. Dan, Nicole, Doug, and Natalie have done so much for me. i'll never be able to thank them enough.
When we were flying back, Natalie and Nicole were flying together and we were on the same plane as them. well, we just talking ans stuff, and Natalie said to me, "well kiddo, you don't have to call me coach anymore." i was like, "are you kidding me!? you'll always be my coach!" and it's true!
no matter how many years go by, Natalie will always be my coach.
Thank you God, for putting Devil Rays in my life.
great. now you can make that seven times. i'm crying right now.
yo! i totally haven't blogged in like, forever! so heres to random blog posting! yaaaaay!
anyway, so here's whats been going on in my life recently... um.... hang on... i'll think of something -- OMIGOSHIMGONNAFRIKKENCRY!!!! lets try that again... oh my gosh i am so gonna frikken cry!!!! our LAST competition is in TWO WEEKS!!! seriously!! The Devil Ray season will END in TWO WEEKS!! i really am gonna cry... cheering means so much to me! and Dallas is the last (and biggest) competition of the season. which is why Natalie (my coach) is going to be extra strict at practices... and also why i couldn't go on the band trip.
Liv, Latte, i am so sorry. please believe me. i wanted to go so badly, but i just couldn't do that to the squad. going would have meant missing five practices. we can't afford to have ANYONE missing practices. im so sorry. you HAVE to tell me EVERY detail, ok? i want to here EVERYTHING!
anyway, i've also been working on a frikken annoying picture all break! never, NEVER, has a picture annoyed me as much as this one! dead serious! this is the first time that i'm really doing this detailed of a background in photoshop from scratch. not smart. and weirdest part is, the bag of FLOUR was the most evil. don't ask, you'll understand when i post it. which will be soon, probably tonight or tomorrow morning. (victory dance) cause i don't have school all week, i don't have shcool all week, aw yeah, aw yeah, uh huh, uh huh... i love winter break!!
and my gosh! drawing is actually HURTING my back! seriously! ok, some of yall may not get this, but you totally would livi! ok, so when i'm drawing on the wacom, i'm usually sitting on the floor cross legged with the tablet in my lap. well, that means i'm hunched over. which gets seriously painful when you draw for hours at a time! yes, this picture has taken me over... five days. FIVE DAYS!! that's RIDICULOUS! NEVER have i wanted to just get a picture OVER WITH!! which kinda makes me sad, but it's true! the only reason i HAVEN'T just given up on it, is beacuse i would hate myself for life. not really. i'm just really OCD. oh! and Livi! i SO know what i'm doing for my word prompt! it's not a comic or anything, it's just a picture, but you'll LIKE it! have you started "Mushroom" yet?
for those who don't know, me and livi have this "word prompt" thing. she'll give me ONE word (ex, "duck" or "lamp") and it's my job to some how incorporate the word into either a oneshot (fic or comic) or just a picture. most of them end up as comics oneshots.
hm.... i should post some of mine....
anyway, it's a really good way to break Artist/Authors block! you should try it sometime! just hook up with a buddy or something!

yes... i exist... i know, i'm probably behind on like... everything at the moment... i'm sorry! i'm going through one of my "lets procrastinate life" phases... yes. as annoying as heck. don't worry though, it'll pass.
anyway, in recent news, we placed first at out last competition! YAY!! Go D - RAYS!! the freaky part though, is that we one by .01 points. seriously. OMIGOSH CLOE IS ADORABLE!!!! sorry... just thought i should say that.... we have our next competition this weekend in Atlanta. yaaaaaay. big city traffic.
i also updated the sketchbook! so there's a site-related update!
and seriously people, don't worry, this whole thing WILL pass!!
it doesn't help that i've been getting depressed over Tsubasa a ton lately...
Tsubasa: Reseviour Chronicles is a manga that me and my sister read religiously. I LOVE it. the only problem though, is that the past four volumes have all been epic and seriously depressing for my favourite character. the series is AMAZING though!! it's just that my fav character has a huge "Kill me!" sign nailed to his forehead. you can ask Livi or Ninja. i've been randomly getting depressed over it for the past month or so.
